We are less than a month away from Rock Hill’s largest night of philanthropy, Evening under the Stars. As we countdown the days, here’s the inside scoop on everything you need to know!
What is Evening under the Stars?
Evening under the Stars is an enchanting evening of entertainment, community, and giving back, as we come together to support the life-changing work of four local non-profits, in partnership with H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Progress through Education).
Is it a “party” or a dinner?
We’re sure we all define “party” differently, but this is a night of fun and philanthropy. The core of the event is a social gathering curated to raise funds for local nonprofits with heavy hors d'oeuvres provided by Flipside Catering, crafted libations and live music. If you define that as a party, sure. To us, it’s an evening that centers community and philanthropy around a night of fun.
Who receives the funds?
The greatest part of this event is providing financial support to four local nonprofits as they continue their life changing work. This year’s recipients are:
H.O.P.E. (Helping others Progress through Education)
Pathways Community Center
Bethel Shelters
Boys & Girls Club of York and Chester Counties
How much are the tickets and where can I purchase them?
We are glad you asked! Early bird tickets are available until September 1 for the rate of $75 with general rate increasing to $100. You can visit www.eveningunderthestars.com to purchase your tickets!
Are there sponsorship opportunities?
Absolutely! We have sponsorship opportunities ranging from $500 to $10,000. Each level includes various bells and whistles. We'd like to partner with you to create a night to remember and inspire a brighter future for Rock Hill. You can visit www.eveningunderthestars.com/sponsorships to learn more.
What is the attire?
The best part about cocktail attire dress codes is that they're flexible. That means you can show off your personality and style — as long as you don't get too casual or formal.
What is the time of the event?
Doors open at 5:30PM
Where is the event held?
The event will be held at the Old Town Amphitheater, 144 East Black Street. There is also plenty of free parking so no worries there!

Who is hosting the event?
This event is hosted by H.O.P.E. (Helping others Progress through Education), a charitable and educational organization whose mission is to educate, empower, and support children and young adults in Rock Hill. In addition to this event serving as their annual fundraiser, their vision was to create an opportunity where we could extend the love and support to other local nonprofits as well.
